A few weeks later, Rukia was soaring the skies over Karakura Town. It taken some convincing on who she was, given her voice had a bit more of a squawking like sound now to it, but eventually she was able to prove who she was and continue her duties after some medical tests and modifications to her outfits.

Rukia had gotten mostly used to her new form. Admittedly she couldn't much eat normally anymore but Ichigo and her friends helped out, bringing stuff she could easily hold between her feathers and drink or bite. The one thing she was a bit annoyed by was her skin. She was always fair skinned and thus she burned easily. This was annoying mostly cause of her mouth. It hadn't fully formed into a beak but the skin was still a bit different the closer you got to the lips, a bit tougher. Thus when it burned, it really did look like she had a beak.

Still, she had no time to think. A hollow had appeared. Rukia entered her hunting height. By the time the Hollow saw her shadow, it be the last thing it saw.
