I got nothing. These are getting really hard to come up with ideas for explanations for when its more then two and characters I'm not sure have enough in common to mix properly. Feel free to come up with your own stories for this one. XD

I've got this. My knowledge is limited, but here's where I get out of this.

Lightning Kitsune is the result of Heartless trying to steal a digimon's heart. The dark energy caused Renamon to decompose into a data-swarm seeking to become whole by integrating into a living creature. It immediately went after the nearest possible host, who, in this case, was Erza. Out of this, Lightning Kitsune was born.

Aha, I failed to see her directly behind the character! And I failed to read "this is a fusion of Ezra, Larxene and Renamon"! This explains why you said "fusion of two or more characters." Everything makes sense now!
