Description

And now, a very spookily cute pic and story!

~:pumpkin:~
"Halloween?" remarked Beth as the small group of four sat around the dining room table, her and Eliza just sitting down as they prepared to enjoy breakfast while Marisa tried to be helpful to Brunhild as she rolled in various sizes of pumpkins from the front entrance, arrivals from a recent delivery before any of them were awake.

Brunhild took her knife and stabbed the blade into the top of a small pumpkin, slowly cutting it open as she worked the knife around the top in a circular motion before pulling the top section of pumpkin off. "Yep. You girls have it in your time period?" the woman inquired as she yanked handfuls of the guts out of the pumpkin and placed them into a bowl as Marisa rolled another pumpkin.

"It sounds familiar. Is it related to All Hallows Eve?" Marisa asked, hoping up on one of the pumpkins to see what Brunhild was doing. Brunhild nodded as she handed Marisa some freshly baked pumpkin seeds. "The folks in town always said it was a dark time, taking objects like pumpkins and carving them into scary faces to spook away any evil spirits that might come. For added measure, they'd keep spooky costumes close by just in case a spirit did wander in."

Eliza and Beth nodded. "Back in Harmonia, it was a similar affair, with the town guard stationed around the ramparts all evening and into the morning while citizens would place their carved pumpkins out before the castle gates to chase away any beings of ill intent." Beth explained.

"Not that it stopped that weird little pumpkin shaped mage that one year. She actually seemed outright mad by the whole thing. Half the citizens were stuck with pumpkin heads for several weeks." Eliza chimed in, rubbing her head at the memory, she and Beth among those who were stuck as such for a while. "Couldn't get the taste of pumpkin out of my mouth for a month."

Brunhild chuckled. "I forget how much different your point in time was to the current one." she spoke as she began to carve a face into the pumpkin, starting with the eyes. "In this time period, the tradition has mellowed, as more often these days the time period is referred to as Halloween. Towns would celebrate it with carving pumpkins, making spooky decorations to adorn their home and dressing up in costumes, allowing the children to go around a collect treats from the residents in a spirited festival of sorts."

"Sounds dull." Eliza remarked dully, popping a grape into her mouth.

"Sounds fun!" Marisa said, the child getting increasingly excited over the idea of getting to dress up and get treats. "Are they sweet treats? Is their a specific costume you have to wear? Oh, can I be a unicorn if there isn't?" Marisa trailed off in her tangent as she ran off, still speaking allowed as she looked for items in which to make a costume.

Brunhild chuckled at Marisa's enthusiasm before continuing. "Afterwards the adults would get together in their own parties to have fun and revels with food and drink as they enjoy the night."

At the words about adults and drinks, Eliza perked up. "So... there are grown up costumes?" she asked, her interest in this holiday suddenly peaked. "Well, I suppose a night where I can dress up and try to attract some of the handsome studs in town would be nice." she added, already imagining herself in a sexy little number and getting all sorts of attention.

Beth noted Eliza's look and sighed but smiled. "So when is Halloween?"

~

"Is Halloween almost over?" Beth grumbled as she tried to cover herself. With the amount of time they'd had, Eliza had managed to obtain three costumes. The first was for Marisa, a little full body pajama-like number that was made to look like a unicorn, to which the little girl was excited for as she held the dried out pumpkin Brunhild had made for her to hold her treats. Eliza and Beth, meanwhile, got more tight fitting costumes, amounting to a strapless leotard, stalkings and heels, the only real costume bits being the cake tails on the back and the headbands they wore on their heads, Beth having bunny ears and Eliza having deer antlers and horns. Though Eliza was strutting around proud of the look, puffing out her chest, Beth was not as interested in showing as she tried to pull the front up more.

"Oh come on! You go strapless all the time! Does it really hurt ya to wear something just a little more cut?" Eliza teased, having a good time herself. The sun wasn't down yet but a large moon was already peaking through the trees. She was ready to get going, now just waiting on Brunhild who was still getting changed into the costume she'd picked out for herself.

"This material is simply too thin. I feel like I am bare before the eyes of the world." Beth blushed, the material so thin, clinging to every curve of her body.

Eliza snickered. "Guess we need to get you to wear this stuff more often then." she teased, to which Beth glared at her with a big pout on her lips.

"I kind of agree with Bethy. Your costumes aren't really costumes but more like linge- err, lunga- umm, fancy underwear." Marisa chimed in as she stood between them.

Eliza chuckled, kneeling down and patting Marisa on the head. "You'll understand more when you get older." she spoke. Marisa pouted. She hated being talked to like a kid. "Anyways, I hope Brunny hurries up. A bit of a walk will hopeful dry this wet spot on my back out."

Beth blinked. "Yours is wet too? I thought it was just mine."

Eliza gave a shrug. "Probably got wet when we were changing. Ju-" she trailed off, looking at Beth. Did she seem... smaller? Or was Marisa looking bigger in her costume?

"Uh oh. I see magic." Marisa remarked as Beth and Eliza soon realized they were both shrinking. Not just getting shorter but getting younger as their bodies lost much of their feminine curve with each inch. As they reached the point that their costumes were about to slip off, the material began to change, growing thicker and wrapping itself around them head to toe, forming similar hoodie outfits like Marisa's, though retaining the animals there sexy costumes had been, with Beth now a bunny, face paint appearing over her face, and Eliza a little deer, the horns upon her head having even shrink to the size a young fawn would likely have.

"Wh-wh-what!?" Eliza cried, shocked and terrified by her sudden smallness. She looked mournfully at her chest, not a bump to be found.

Beth looked between Eliza and Marisa before staring down at herself. "This is how I looked when I was eight!" she squeaked, looking back again at Marisa, now eye level with her. She wasn't as frightened as Eliza but still very confused. How'd this happen?

A bit of laughter made the three turn to the steps coming down from the house. Brunhild slowly made her way over to them, dressed up in a witches costume, a dark blue dress and hat with red ribbon trim with bat-shaped bows adorning it. "Sorry, Eliza. But you didn't give me the chance to tell you the other part of Halloween before you started going on about your costume." she remarked, handing both Eliza and Beth a pair of pumpkin buckets like Marisa's. "Their is one part of Halloween that I failed to mention: when the kids go from house to house, something they say is 'Trick or Treat'. The trick part comes from an old fairy tale that said that the monsters themselves would say a similar phrase at the door, demanding food or they'd place a hex on the people with in. These days, though, its used in more humorous ways."

At this, Eliza gave her an angry growl, though her face was just too cute now to make it seem threatening. "So you turned us into kids!?" she yelled.

"Temporarily. I had an old book on trick alchemy potions. I used Marisa as a base and thus why you two ended up the same age as her and similar costumes. I thought this was your first Halloween, so it be more fun if Marisa had someone to share it with." Brunhild added warmly, making Eliza blush in surprise as she looked at Marisa, who's eyes were filled with sparkles.

"Yeah! We can get treats together!" Marisa cried, hugging Beth.

Beth was still a bit surprised but giggled, seeing how happy Marisa was. "Of course! Right, Eliza?" she asked, staring at the flabbergasted red-head.

Eliza just looked at the two, still upset but realizing she was not getting out of this. She gave a defeated sigh. "Riiight." she spoke. As Marisa and Beth began to skip down the road, Eliza turned to Brunhild. "Can you at least save me some of that pumpkin schnapps for when I get big again?" she asked, noting the bottle in the bag Brunhild had in her hands.

Brunhild chuckled. "I have a second bottle still in the house." she remarked. At this, Eliza gave a defeated nod and quickly caught up with the other two. Seeing her friends happy, she decided she'd make the most of the night...
