Here's the book concept all colored up for your enjoyment. ^^
It looks to be a clear pull ahead for this idea so went ahead and drew it up. I might do the plush later if I feel up to it. Till then, enjoy. ^^
CONCEPT STORY!
Lily is/was the sister to Darin. When he went off for his revenge against the people who killed there parents, he promised he would return for her. When the fight was said and done, Darin vanished for unknown reasons. Knowing her brother was alive out there, though, Lily wanted to find him or, if nothing else, make herself immortal so she could meet him again one day.
While traveling, she found a person who was offering her immortality. Lily, nearing old age, naturally took the bait with out much complaint. It was too late to turn back as the mage lured her into the trap and sealed her inside a book, to use her knowledge and abilities for her own purposes along with hundreds of others she had captured. Lily's will, however, was a little bit more then the woman expected as she emerged from the book as an ink blot and proceeded to 'ink' her, turn her into nothing but ink which she absorbed into the book.
Over the years, Lily found she could absorb others into the book and then assume forms based on them, though with all her traits as far as colors and markings. She could also assume forms if someone else wrote into the book, the energy from there words feeding her and allowing her to assume forms they wrote into the book. The downside to her power in her early years in this form was she remembered everything with every minut detail of both her life and other people's lives, driving her insane for a time and absorbing everything she could.
It wouldn't be till years later when she finally came to control this power with the reappearance of her brother to help...
