The Masks We Wear

One Halloween, Hinata bought a simple wooden mask, depicting a medusa, from a traveling salesman. She'd hoped that by hiding behind it, she might be able to act more comfortably around Naruto. But, when she removed her mask, she made the grim discovery that her hair had turned into snakes, wrything and wriggling. Once more, everyone who looked her in the eyes from her sister to her father was turned to stone.

Hinata fled the village in sorrow and searched around, hoping to find a way to reverse the curse on her. But the more time passed, the more inhuman Hinata began to appear... and the more she started enjoy what she was becoming...
