I've developed this love/hate relationship with Skylanders cause I love the idea of it, I love many of the figure designs, but there are things I'd like to see improved such as more depth to the characters so, even if there design isn't great, I can develop an opinion of a character more past there looks.

Swap-Force sort of exasperated this fracture in me with the fact most of the Swap Force figures weren't that interesting of designs and as a result, I didn't buy most of them and thus didn't get all the unlockable content in the game do to the Swap-Zones and Movement Zones. So I told myself, what with Disney Infinity 2.0 coming out in August, I'd wait to see what the next Skylanders game was and decide to stay or dump it. Today was that day to decide:

Trap Team is the forth title of the Skylanders brand. On the plus sides, info I've found show some really nice designs of some of the initial reveals and that once more Skylanders from the previous games will be playable. On the down side... another portal!? Can't you stay with one portal for a year or is Infinity really draining your profits that much!? The new portal comes with a new Trap-Crystal slot where you can catch villains, new and old, if you have a crystal of the appropriate element, and then summon those catch villains to fight for you or store them away on the game's prison system. The idea isn't bad but I really think it could have been done with the existing technology Activision already set up for Swap Force.

As it stands, I'm really torn on whether I'll get the game or not. If I can do like Swap Force and get the game for $30 during a black Friday deal, then no problem but otherwise I'm not sure overall at the moment. I'll wait I suppose for more detail at E3 as not alot of info on the revealed figures.

Overall, what do any Skylander Fans think of the news?

I've never played Skylanders, seemed somewhat interesting when I heard about the first one. Down size was Those bloody Action figures... I'm sorry I need my money for other things.

On another note I have one personal gripe with Skylanders that I usually look over, the fact that the game was supposed to be a Spyro game where he was the fully grown king. I usually look past this but that game sounds so chaking awesome!!
