Today was a big day for Smash Fans as Nintendo had a big Nintendo Direct today focused on Super Smash Bros for Wii U. 50 facts about the new WIi U version were given, even though it ended up being 54 really. And alot of info I found interesting was given.

In Classic Mode against Master Hand and Crazy Hand, the Wii U version will have a new version of the final boss, Master Core, which will take the form of Master Fortress, a large stage where you seemingly run around the inside of, attacking key spots and battling enemies to destroy it from the inside. Playable on the higher difficulty levels.

Many of the mini games like Target Smash and Multi-Man Challenge will be two player co-op. They didn't specify if the upcoming amiibo will count as the second player or not but it'll be designed to give players a helping hand.

Battlefield Creator returns with new features, taking advantage of the Wii U Gamepad to make whatever you feel like. They showed a number of impressive custom stages in the blink of an eye.

8-Man Smash. Players can now play up to 8-Player on a single stage, with certain stages only allowed during that period. Sounds like this wont be possible in online mode which is a bummer.

AND, as everyone on Mii-Verse has been begging and pleading for, Mewtwo will be returning to the game... as DLC if you purchased both versions of the game by Spring, 2015. Which, lets be honest, if you're a Smash fan, you probably planned to get both anyways and if you were sitting on the fence, then you might have just been pushed off. The inlcusion of Mewtwo as DLC also raises the possibilty in the future for other DLC characters, likely once the New 3DS launches sometime next year.

Those are the big thoughts I took away from it. Alot of facts but only a few I saw as note worthy. Also, I have to admit the Bowser JR reveal vid was pretty sweet. XD
